Neurological Surgery Fellowship Programs

The Department of Neurological Surgery offers fellowship programs in Endovascular Surgical Radiology and in Skull Base Surgery.

The Neurointerventional Surgery Fellowship Director is  Shuichi Suzuki, MD, PhD ; Co-Director Kiarash Golshani, MD.

    The Neurointerventional Surgery Fellowship is a structurally supervised 24-month, full-time position from July 1st through June 30th. The training program combines a multidisciplinary approach to patient care with state-of-the-art technologies. Some clinical research involvement. The Skull Base Surgery Fellowship is directed by Frank P.K. Hsu, MD, PhD.

    The Skull Base Neurosurgery Fellowship is a structurally supervised comprehensive 12-month, full-time position from July 1st through June 30th. The training program combines state-of-the-art technologies and encompasses a full spectrum of skull base and complex cranial surgeries with interdisciplinary management of the patients. Some clinical research involvement. The main practice site is at the UC Irvine Medical Center, 101 The City Drive, South, Orange, CA 92868

The Functional Neurosurgery Fellowship is directed by Frank P.K. Hsu, MD, PhD..

    The Stereotactic & Functional Neurosurgery program is a structurally supervised comprehensive 12-month, full-time position. The training program combines state-of-the-art technologies and encompasses a multidisciplinary environment. The team is dedicated to providing patients with movement disorders (Parkinson's disease, tremors, dystonia, epilepsy, chronic pain, neurological injuries, and psychiatric disorders)the best surgical treatment option such as deep brain stimulation (DBS) therapy. The Epilepsy Neurosurgery Fellowship is directed by Sumeet Vadera, MD
    The Epilepsy Neurosurgery Fellowship program is a structurally supervised 24-month, full-time position from July 1st through June 30th. The training program combines state-of-the-art technologies with an multidisciplinary approach to patient care. Some clinical research involvement. The main practice site is at the UC Irvine Medical Center, 101 The City Drive, South, Orange, CA 92868

The CAST Neurosurgical Critical Care Fellowship is directed by Jefferson W. Chen, MD, PhD.
