Three Cheers for Dr. Binder!

Dr. Devin K. Binder has been announced as one of the winners in this year's Athalie Clarke and Junior Physician Award, sponsored by the Research Associates, the School of Medicine's longest standing support group. The award acknowledges researchers who are making a notable impact on medical science. Dr. Binder is an Assistant Professor in Neurosurgery as well as the lab director of the Epilepsy Research Lab.

It has been a great year for Dr. Binder. In the past 12 months, he has also received an NIH KO8 award, a Faculty Career Development Award (University of California, Irvine), the 2006 Early Career Physician-Scientist Award (American Epilepsy Society), an award from the New York State Department of Health Spinal Cord Injury Research Board, and the Vesalius Award (American Association of Neurological Surgeons).
